Hybrid Course Design

Hybrid courses replace a significant amount of traditional time in class with online experiences. Carefully designed, Hybrid Courses create rich learning environments through offering students the best benefits of traditional classroom participation and on-line activities. You will hear the terms hybrid and blended used interchangeably. To simplify life at OU, we are using the term "Hybrid". Pii is supporting the design of these environments through faculty training and student support. Therefore, we are offering two sections for our OU Community.

Employers' Perspectives on 21st Century Graduates

How well are colleges and universities preparing their students for the challenges of the 21^st Century workforce? Peter D. Hart Research Associates, Inc., conducted a national survey of corporate exectutives' views on preparedness of college graduates for the Association of American Colleges and Universities. Their report, “How Should Colleges Assess and Improve Student Learning” presents key findings from interviews of “301 employers whose companies have at least 25 employees and report that 25% or more of their new hires hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a four year college” (Hart and Associates, 2008).
